The MicroImage PG315 Standard Pattern Generator is designed for applications that can benefit from one of the standard supplied patterns. The PG315 units will overlay the patterns on top of the video signal provided to the input of the device. For applications that require display patterns that are different, our PG311 & PG314 series of pattern generators can be programmed with a custom pattern.

The units have switches for power and to select one of the five patterns or disable the pattern display. A rotary control is provided to change the brightness of the pattern from black to white or any shade of gray in between.

Five patterns are available, Cross Hair, Cross Line, Target, Cross Dots and Cross Hatch. In addition, the patterns can be turned off and only the live image will be visible in the display. The unit will remember which pattern has been set in non-volatile memory, even after power has been removed. An idea of the standard patterns are shown below, however, the size and number of lines or dots may vary from the actual display:

Units are available to function with a variety of video signals. The PG315 works with composite, B&W and S-Video signals . The PG315P is the PAL (CCIR) version of this product.

Power is provided by a universal table top power supply (included) or the unit can be powered from +12VDC (negative ground). DC power consumption is about 2.5 watts. The unit is packaged in a durable metal enclosure with plastic bezel assemblies. The PG305 and PG405 carry a one year parts and labor warranty.

The PG series of Pattern Generators are also available as board level products. These can be provided with the standard connectors listed above or small single row "header" style connectors.
