Digital CrossLine Generators from MicroImage Video Systems are designed for video measuring and size referencing. The CL741 series is especially helpful in industrial, metallurgical or forensic applications where comparisons in relative position or size are important.

The CL741 has two X and two Y moveable axes. The lines can be set to black or white and each line can be turned off or on individually or changed from solid to serrated. A lock switch is provided for each pair of lines to prevent accidental movement. Line movement can be set to fully independent or relative modes by a front panel switch. In relative mode, one control moves the position of both lines and the other sets the spacing between lines. Line or Box mode may be displayed. A switch on the rear panel selects the field or frame mode of operation. There are no internal adjustments or switches.

Remote control capability is included on all CL741 series CrossLine models. The unit may be controlled or queried by a computer RS-232 port. The MicroImage Control Language chosen for this unit is simple to understand and easy to implement in custom programs. Virtually all functions can be controlled by the computer. The computer can also query the CrossLine Generator for line position as well as switch and mode settings.

This CrossLine model incorporates a state of the art, phase locked loop (PLL) system, which maintains very accurate line positions. The lines are generated with square pixels to maintain the correct aspect ratio. Lines can be adjusted over the entire image area. High quality, multi-turn optical encoders are used for maximum accuracy.

The CL741 is designed to work with a variety of video standards; RGB, S-Video, NTSC or B&W video signals. It can process RGB, S-video and either NTSC or B&W simultaneously. The unit will automatically lock to the proper input signal. All signals must be in phase with each other for proper operation. A rear panel switch will allow the unit to be changed from NTSC/RS170 mode to PAL/CCIR mode. Standard CL741 series models have a 120V internal power supply and 3 wire detachable power cord. Operation from +12VDC is available as an option. The CL741 has a 1 year warranty.  Other models are available for OEM applications.
