The MicroImage MPX100A Video Comparator System is a dual camera system used to compare two B&W images on the same monitor. The system consists of two MicroImage M101 high resolution, B&W Video Cameras, a PX101M2 Video Split Screen/Fade controller, two six foot camera cables, a BNC cable and power supply. The single power supply provides power for the two cameras as well as the PX101M2.

Making comparisons in industrial applications, especially in the semiconductor industry, allows the manufacturer to check production accuracy against a known standard. Small variations can be detected before they become costly.

Included in the system are two 1/2", 600 line, high performance B&W video cameras with 768x494 (752x582 CCIR) chip resolution. Each camera connects to the main unit with a single cable which provides power, genlock and video, making setup fast and simple. The cameras have a standard C/CS lens mount.

The images can be split in the horizontal or vertical direction. A lower right corner insert mode is also available. The split position can be adjusted over the full screen area with the front panel control. The Fade mode allows the two images to be added together. The mix can be adjusted over the entire range from a full camera A image to a full camera B image. Below is an example of the modes.

Power is provided by a desk top power supply (included) or it can be powered from a single +12VDC (negative ground) power source. DC power consumption is about 7 Watts. The included power supply will operate over a wide range of 100-240VAC and has UL, CSA and CE approvals.
